Hosting for power users

Static hosting, deployed with rsync

High-performance static content hosting and mirroring with unmetered 1 Gbps bandwidth, for people who live on the command line. No dashboards, no build pipelines to learn: push your files with rsync over SSH or TLS, and they are live.

Deployment

One command to publish

rsync is the main way to update your hosting. It only transfers what changed, so even large sites and mirrors update in seconds, and every transfer is encrypted.

  • rsync over SSH for fast, incremental, scriptable deploys
  • rsync over TLS with the standard rsync-ssl client
  • Fits any workflow: static site generators, CI jobs, cron or a shell alias
$ domain=example.com

# Deploy with rsync over SSH
$ rsync -avz --delete ./public/ \
  username@hosting.cyberbits.eu:${domain}

# Or with rsync over TLS
$ rsync-ssl -avz --delete ./public/ \
  rsync://username@hosting.cyberbits.eu/${domain}/
Your username is provided when your hosting is set up.
